We were looking for a vehicle to do some further testing and development of new products. With that in mind, we began going over our options. Ultimately, we decided that a 2015-2021 Subaru WRX STI was the right car for the job! The VA chassis is one of our best selling applications. This gives us an opportunity to revisit this application and see if anything can be revised and made better. We plan on conducting further development on our product line for this application and hope to showcase our progress along the way. Ultimately, our newest addition will become our dedicated booth car. Expect to hear more about this in the near future!
MATG is the longest running Miata gathering in the country. Every year hundreds of drivers addicted to their 2-door convertibles convene in the center of some of the best driving roads in the US. The iconic Tail of the Dragon is the PERFECT road for the Mazda Miata with 318 curves packed in an 11 mile stretch. A gathering of enthusiasts surrounded by miles of spirited driving is the perfect place to showcase our custom, modular, and rebuildable bespoke suspension products! With this in mind we have decided to become a vendor at Miatas at the Gap 2023! This August we plan to setup at the event to showcase not only our products, but our very own Fortune Auto equipped Miatas as well.
“Coilovers” is an industry term almost always used to describe a full shock and spring replacement that provides, at the very least, adjustable ride height for your vehicle. Coilovers are one of the most popular and most essential modifications when customizing your project car or improving your race car. Instead of having to hassle with lowering springs which requires the risky compression and removal of factory springs followed by the replacement with the new items, a Coilover suspension system is as simple as removing the factory shock and spring assembly and installing the new adjustable kit. Fortune Auto Coilovers offer a wide range of ride height possibilities from around 1” lower than stock at their highest safest setting all the way to as much as 5” lower than stock.
Many “budget” Coilover systems only provide adjustable ride height but, all Fortune Auto Coilover systems provide adjustable damping adjustment as well. Damping is the force of the shock, how soft or firm it is. By adjusting the damping setting, you control how stiff or forgiving your vehicle rides. All cars look better lower, we can all agree on that. But with great looks comes great responsibility. The suspension is what connects everything in and on your car, including you, to the wheels and tires. Poor quality suspension or improper suspension setup can result in the car performing or feeling worse than it did before anything was changed. At Fortune Auto, all of our suspension systems are built in-house to very particular specifications to ensure improved ride quality, performance, and longevity. Our new PRO Caster + Camber Plates provide adjustable camber and, for some applications, caster adjustment for your vehicle. Made right here in the USA at our Richmond, VA facility, these CNC Machined Aluminum components are anodized in our iconic Competition Development Blue. Camber is adjustable as it is with all of our MacPherson applications which gives the driver the power to dial in the balance of cornering grip and tire wear. The added and/or adjustable caster increases straight line tracking, high speed stability, and corner effectiveness making them an ideal addition to an existing Fortune Auto suspension setup for high performance builds and track vehicles.
Currently, the PRO Caster + Camber Plates are available for an array of Subaru models. For these applications, the plates add 1 additional degree of fixed caster. Just recently, they were released for the S550 Mustang with adjustable caster. As testing and development continues, more applications will be released.
