GLOBAL TIME ATTACK x SUPER LAP BATTLE 2016
The Fortune Auto team once again headed to Southern California to attend Global Time Attack’s Super Lap Battle at Buttonwillow Raceway. We were setup as a trackside pit station to advise for proper suspension adjustments for teams equipped with Fortune Auto suspension. The competition was staggering as many previous records were broken and many teams ran into mechanical problems.
PZ Tuning
One of the biggest buzzes of the event was the sheer amount of competition in the Unlimited Front Wheel Drive class. Huge congratulations to William Au-Yeung and the rest of the PZ Tuning team on clinching First Place with a 01:43.365, which was also good enough for the Unlimited FWD Record!
Professional Awesome
Professional Awesome had a great showing as they overcame some major transmission problems. These guys show a true sense of teamwork and dedication at every event they show up to. Ken Dobson was able to churn a 01:42.594 in the Professional Awesome Evo putting them at a 2nd Place podium finish!
UMS Tuning
UMS Tuning unfortunately ran into some catastrophic problems as well. The Evo was running very well on the first day as the team tried to optimize the new suspension setup. After putting in some hot laps, they were able to run a 01:44.788 which was good enough for 3rd place podium spot!
